Those who attend games at SunTrust Park this year can expect much more than baseball to be on tap. While there are many new features to look forward to at the new home of the Atlanta Braves, one of the most notable offerings will be the amount of unique alcoholic beverages available at the ballpark.
Starting with a non-traditional baseball offering, SunTrust Park will feature signature cocktails. One of the most notable is Braves Bramble, which features bourbon, smoked rosemary, blackberry syrup, topped with lemon-lime soft drink. Braves Bramble will be available at the Coopers' Craft Bourbon Bar, located on the first-base side of the terrace level at SunTrust Park.

Crews have worked to wrap up those finishing touches before Live! at the Battery Atlanta opens to guests for the home opener.

Regular hours at 825 Battery Avenue are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. More than 130 beers are available on tap, including 37 brews from the state of Georgia. Yard House's food menu includes dishes such as poke nachos, Nashville hot chicken, and fried gnocchi, and there are a number of vegan and vegetarian options. While the chain already operates an Atlanta location, the team hopes to offer a unique experience at its new address.

To that end, the Braves have announced that the mixed-use development being built adjacent to the stadium will feature a hotel, an office tower, an entertainment venue, retail space for restaurants and shopping and residential living space.
The ballclub has been slowly rolling out announcing the tenants of the $452 million mixed-use development. In March 2015, Comcast was announced to be the sole tenant of the nine-story office tower in the development. More than 1,000 Comcast employees will work out of the 200,000-square-foot space.

The project, still tentatively named Northside & 17th, is being developed in a joint venture with The Ardent Cos. Fuqua Development founder Jeff Fuqua and Ardent director of acquisitions Scott Werbel declined to comment.
A Kroger spokesman stated in an email that the grocer had no information as of press time. The developers have switched gears from previous plans to add multifamily to the project and instead intend to focus on retail and office space. A land disturbance permit filed late last year with the City of Atlanta indicates the project would include space for a grocer, restaurants, a bank and retail.

According to Greg Mize, Director of Digital Marketing at the Braves, content within the app won't just be baseball-specific, though. It is the first time Major League Baseball Advanced Media is allowing a MLB team to incorporate such content.
SunTrust Park is situated near The Battery Atlanta, a development area that includes restaurants, retail, housing and other features. Mize said that when he and the Braves researched the possibility of building a separate app for The Battery, it didn't make sense. Other retail and development apps they examined didn't receive significant download rates, and if a consumer used an app, it was for just one time. Instead, having one consolidated app experience was the ultimate decision.

The city announced the land for the project, which has been in planning for more than a year, has been sold to Fuqua Development. Officials are now looking to May, when a groundbreaking ceremony is expected to be held. An exact ground-breaking date has not yet been set though.
The 21-acre mixed-use project will include townhomes, a CineBistro theater, restaurants, retail shops, office space, townhomes and a town green. Fuqua has pre-leased at least 60 percent of the space already, according to the city.

Prolific developer Jeff Fuqua has filed plans with the city to begin the first phase of his "Madison Yards" project. The development, which has been in the works for more than a year, will fill the site long occupied by manufacturer Leggett & Platt.
According to Bisnow, initial work on the site will replace the former mattress factory with more than 160,000 square feet of retail, 80,000 square feet of offices, a grocery, and movie theater. While the grocery store was formerly annouced as a Sprouts, rumors suggest it could now be a Publix.

Fuqua Development is moving forward with plans to develop its next Memorial Drive mixed-use project Madison Yards.
The Atlanta-based developer this week filed a permit application with City of Atlanta to begin land development for Madison Yards, Bisnow Tuesday first reported.
The project, at 905 Memorial Drive on a 17-acre site near I-20, calls for 160,000 square feet of retail, 80,000 square feet of offices, a grocer, and movie theatre, replacing what was once a mattress factory.

On Wednesday, media got a first look inside the 264-room hotel that will sit near right field at the Braves' new home, SunTrust Park. Its guest rooms not only will offer views into the ballpark, but also its adjoining mixed-use development, The Battery Atlanta.
Today, construction on the hotel is about 50 percent complete. It's expected to open in early 2018.
The 16-story hotel will offer 12,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 5,000-square-foot ballroom. There also will be an open-air pool deck with a bar. And, the Omni will have a restaurant that partners with a yet-to-be-named chef, along with a coffee and wine bar.

The Atlanta-raised English is coming back to his roots and opening Todd English Tavern. It is one of three concepts within a larger venue called Live! at the Battery. The other two concepts include PBR Atlanta (which will be similar to its sister site in St. Louis' Ballpark Village adjacent to Busch Stadium) as well as an entertainment-plex called Sports & Social. Live! at the Battery will be owned by the Cordish Companies and operated by ECI, its subsidiary that manages restaurants, bars and clubs.
At Todd English Tavern, dishes will have a Southern heritage with an international influence. The menu will include a number of shareable offerings as well as items like an upscale riff on an oyster po' boy of corn pone with truffles and oysters. The signature burger will be a pork and truffle version with pork shoulder confit served with fennel-apple salad. English also stated that some pub grub would be tweaked as vegetable-based offerings, such as cauliflower tater tots.

The Denver-based company plans to open a 27,000-square-foot restaurant, bar and entertainment venue adjacent to SunTrust Park.
The two-story facility will include eight bowling lanes, one bocce court, three private karaoke rooms, a custom built 360-degree bar, various lounging and gathering spots and a 2,200-square-foot rooftop patio.

The Braves said Tuesday that Punch Bowl Social, a games and fine dining concept, will join The Battery entertainment district in September. The "eat, drink play" or "eatertainment" concept will replace the previously announced Kings Bowl retro bowling and high-end food and drink concept.
The concept joins Antico Pizza, Wahlburgers and a Terrapin Beer-themed taproom and microbrewery at the entertainment district next to the new ballpark near Cumberland Mall. Much of the Battery's first phase is expected to open in time for the Braves' inaugural season at SunTrust Park.
